Summary on Grant Application Form
New equipment for the accurate measurement of pressure will be combined with existing apparatus and a new acoustic resonator to establish a state-of-the-art facility for sound speed measurements on fluids at high pressures. The equipment will be purchased, installed and tested during the six-month initial project. The new acoustic resonator will be designed, fabricated and commissioned within the same period. A programme of sound speed measurements on key fluid mixtures at high pressures will commence.
