|
This investigation will reexamine the requirements of yarm designers and prodcers and define the requirements of an industrial yarn CAD system. The modelling of yarn and fabrics for use in CAD systems will be extended and attempts made to predict the mechanical properties of simple yarn from CAD data. The system of yarn and fabric visualistion will be identified and will be aimed at potential designers and technologists.
