Summary on Grant Application Form
The aim of this proposal is to fund a senior RA position to develop new applications of mathematics in industry. We also seek two studentships as a team-based approach is necessary to successfully pioneer solutions to new industrial problems. The RA will be fully supported by the faculty members of the group and will be closely integrated into the existing range of industrial mathematics at Oxford. This position will be able to take advantage of existing resources, and is well placed to achieve an exciting new initiative in industrial mathematics.The RA will take a proactive roll and make his/her own contacts with industry, organise industrial workshops, seminars and problem reports. He or she will be fully involved in research into the analysis and solution of at least part of the range of industrial problems that emerge during the project.
