Summary on Grant Application Form
A method for the time-accurate prediction of unsteady compressible flows past deforming surfaces will be developed. This will use a combination of an efficient moving-mesh system, a fast dual-time solution procedure, and a multiblock system for generating grids about complex configurations. The method will be implemented on a parallel computer and novel parallelisation strategies will be investigated. The coupling of the flow prediction method with a structural model will also be studied.
