Summary on Grant Application Form |
The proposed research aims to assist company management in a review of their planning and scheduling information systems by providing a self-audit method, based on a novel examination of key planning and scheduling processes. This will enable the examination of a firm's current approach to see how well this supports its key business needs and what changes are necessary to improve planning and scheduling information systems alignment to meet these key needs. The method will operate by the linking of the requirements of different industrial sectors to particular planning and scheduling tool configurations through the development of a new classification of reference models.
