Summary on Grant Application Form
The proposed four year rolling grant will permit continuation and consolidation of the core projects concerned with developing new design methodologies (e.g. in multiple criteria decision making, generic specification, and integration of the design process). It extends the current work into nine projects in the role of design in business, through life costing, design decomposition, decreasing risk, 'clean' design, for upgradeability and design margins. The core research will continue to be implemented by catching funding from industry.
