Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project is to be based upon the application of pertubation theories to large-scale dynamical problems by means of parallelised symbolic computing. Such theories are highly relevant when attempting to obtain physically meaningful solutions to problems in nonlinear structural and machine dynamics, and also to all areas of applied science for which large systems of coupled nonlinear ODEs are suitable. Results will be in the form of time and frequency domain mapping together with symbolic output at all strategic points during solution generation. Mathematica and Fortran constructs will be used in three proof of concept parallel environments of ascending complexity.
