Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project uses theoretical modelling to study the photonic and optoelectronics properties of low-dimensional quantum networks subject to a photonic band structure environment. Realistic simulations describing the dynamics of such systems will be developed based on density-matrix theory. The main goal is to identify possible candidate microstructure architectures for building novel coherence-based optoelectronic devices. Such devices have significant potential applications e.g. quantum computation.
