Summary on Grant Application Form |
The overall aim of this project is to investigate the integration of state-of-the-art technologies to create a flexible support environment for modelling business processes and managing changes. Much has been done in the engineering and IT communities to address different areas which are related to change management. It is unlikely that results from addressing specific, and narrow, issues will provide the total solution. This project takes a system-wide approach to consider how different techniques can be utilised to create a principled and yet flexible framework for managing business process change. In this research we seek to bring together some of the most promising ideas and apply them to realistic case studies in engineering design.
