|
The purpose of this research is to improve the design process in the aerospace industry in order to obtain improved competitiveness through rapidity of responses and quality of design. It will do this by analyzing design performance and making proposals in the areas of (1) reduction of Design Error, (2) Interactive aids for Designers and (3) Integration of the design Process. A significant part of this work will be in developing measures of performance and obtaining baseline data. Process changes, arising from this analysis, will be implemented, measured and compared with baseline data.
