Summary on Grant Application Form |
The VF will define different viewpoint representation schemes that are appropriate for modelling a software process from multiple perspectives and at different levels of abstraction. Schemes at high levels will be used for the requirements definition of the process and lower levels will be used for process programming. The VF will then seek to apply a refinement calculus developed in the VFs team to define refinement steps mapping concepts of one process viewpoint to one or several concepts included in the viewpoint representation at the next stage. The scenario will then allow for the assessment of the refinement calculus with respect to its support for traceability and the management of design rationales.
