Summary on Grant Application Form |
The project seeks to establish the scope and potential of engineering re-use, drawing on past experience and current practice. It will then set out structures and guidelines for re-use, to allow good practices to be embedded in company operating procedures. Finally, the partners will take advantage of their access to date-of-the-art database and product data management systems to explore the implications of re-use on the configurations of such systems to improve intra and inter company communications, so that the potential benefits of re-use can be accessed throughout aerospace manufacturing networks.
