Summary on Grant Application Form |
This proposal brings together Dr Mountfords expertise in early transition metal inorganic and organometallic chemistry, with that of Professor Schroder in the design, synthesis and complexation of a wide variety of new functionalised macrocyclic ligands and their transition metal complexes. A range of designed pendant-arm aza macro cycles will be synthesised and complexed to Group 3 and Group 4 metal centres to form precursors to Ziegler-Natta catalysts. These complexes will be screened for dual- and single- component olefin polymerisation catalysis.
