Summary on Grant Application Form |
In New Product Introduction, as in Manufacturing, individual companies can improve their individual performance, and the performance of their supply chain, by collaborating with others. This research is aimed at the prevention of practical tools for managers to operate NPT collaborationsThe Programme will determine appropriate frameworks and models, leading to detailed NPI Collaboration Processes for both supplier and customer (where one or both are SMEs employing electronics, software and precision mechanical technologies in their communications and instrumentation products). A process for the implementation of those processes in the companies will also be determined. The Programme will use interviews, case histories and surveys to start an Action Research approach to process development. The tangible outputs will be in the form of a tested self-help Workbook with software assistance where appropriate, as well as academic and practitioner publications.
