Summary on Grant Application Form |
The research aims to investigate how a fully distributed connectionist reasoning system may be constructed using binary neural networks. The research focuses on two challenging problems. The first is to see if it is possible to perform reasoning in a fully distributed connectionist frame work and to show the benefits of this approach. The second aim is to identify if variable inheritance can be added to the basic mechanism, by considering the memory system as a switch and the variable as a signal allowing very efficient inferencing.
