Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed to attack several problems in harmonic analysis which have oscillatory integrals as a common theme, and which have hitherto proved resistant. These are:(i) The problem of pointwise Fourier Inversion under mild smoothness hypotheses,(ii) Structure of Sets of Divergence for the Localisation Problem for Multiple Fourier Integrals.(iii) Estimates for sublevel sets of functions with large derivatives and (iv) Restriction of the Fourier Transform as a Universal Phenomenon.
