The main aim of the proposal is to conduct a feasibility study on the identification of future requirements of compuyter support for creative work by investigating the work of established artists and exploring the potential by which artists develop new creative media in collaboration with technological experts during a series of residency programmes will be undertaken. Models of creativity will be tested and extended, building upon an existing criteria-based model developed by the application from studies in art, design and science and exemplars will be developed. In terms of the base from which the work begins, the two Creativity and Cognition symposia investigator has already been established.
