Systematic innovation processes are required in order to improve performance and deliver the following benefits in complex product system:1. improve quality, functionality, flexibility, reliability and maintainability;2. reduce initial and lifecycle costs;3. improve profitability and competitiveness of producers;4. Reduce environment impact of production and operation.This proposal will draw upon interdisciplinary and cross-industry engineering, manufacturing and management sciences, focusing on improving knowledge about patterns of innovation in systems integration.The proposed Innovation Network will enable better integration of research and dissemination activities with key industrial users.
