Summary on Grant Application Form |
New developments in electrochemistry now allow one to obtain details of electrode surface structure and stress and their changes during electrodeposition. New developments in ab initio simulation allow one to simulate metals and metallic surfaces accurately. The proposed work is to develop these simulation techniques for electro-chemical processes at electrode surfaces and to use them to study structure and bonding changes during deposition.
