Summary on Grant Application Form |
The SMMT Industry Forum established the tow year Process Improvement Masterclass to train a group of UK engineers in accelerated process improvement, initially through hands-on experience in second in third tier suppliers, guided by experts seconded from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, General Motors and Volkswagen. The programme is a unique industry level programme and for the first time brings together the experience to these companies in accelerated process improvement. This project will observe the process in action and through successive interviews with the experts, trainees and host firms will draw on the common experiences and best practice and the challenges that were encountered.
