This grant application is to fund an EPSRC studentship and some hardware cost for prototypes in the field of real-time compression of real-time traffic. The research is to be undertaken in an ATM context, but the results will be of use in queuing and quality-of-service provision. The project is related to current projects at Cambridge and collaboration with industrial partners and standardisation is envisaged downstream.
