Summary on Grant Application Form |
The VF will collaborate on the derivation and analysis of new methods for constructive approximation on spherical geometries and on the application of these methods to the discretisation of integral equations, in particular ill-posed equations arising in inverse scattering problems. The programme will include stability and complexity analysis of polynomial and non-polynomial schemes on the sphere and the analysis of a particular scheme for ill-posed integral equations which is currently in practical use for 3D inverse problems.
