Summary on Grant Application Form |
This application is a request for support for a visit to Cancer Research Institute Inc, Perth, Australia, for the testing of a novel optical fibre temperature probe in-vivo. The probe uses a set of in-fibre Bragg gratings multiplexed on a single optical fibre to recover the temperature profile. The probe has been tested in our laboratory, but the opportunity now exists for in vivo trials on rabbits. The probe will be compared against a state of the art commercial unit, over which it has potential advantages.
