Summary on Grant Application Form |
The need for, and attributes of, agile organisations have been identified in a number of research papers. One of the major problems that has not been addressed, however, is how to design an enterprise that is inherently dynamic and capable of responding to changing market requirements. The proposed research will build on the existing body of knowledge on the attributes of an agile organisation to examine and develop a decision support framework for agile enterprise design, partnership and management. The investigation will involve the use of multivariate statistical analysis to establish the relationship between agility attributes and agile competitive bases. In addition, a real-time performance measurement tool appropriate to agile enterprise will be developed. The scope for applications of fuzzy logic, AI and ANN in agile enterprise design will also be investigated.
