Panel History:
Summary on Grant Application Form
The work at Nottingham in Sub-project A will concentrate on dividing flows in T-junctions and Y-junctions. The study will include both steady-state and transient measurements; of particular importance is the interactions between joining pipelines when one or both of the lines has slugging flow. Thus, slugging in one of the feed pipes could induce slugging in the combined line when such slugging would not occur naturally at the total flow rate within this combined line.
