Summary on Grant Application Form |
The reseach will identify the technological and commercial benefits which ensue from the use of supercritical fluids as peocessing aids for polymers. It will include systematic analysis of the effects of supercritical fluids on the melt rheology of thermoplastics, development of novel peocess technology for the introduction and subsequent recovery of supercritical fluids during processing and determination of operating principles which can be applied to extrusion-based and injection moulding operations.
