Summary on Grant Application Form |
The area of catalysis is ideally set up for combinatorial exploitation if screens can be developed to identify the most active moieties. Indeed catalysis is in many ways an ideal home for combinatorial chemistry due to the iterative nature of many catalytic improvement processes. In this proposal we aim to bead based combinatorial screens for novel catalyst identification using a number of original concepts and verifying the hits with IR thermal imaging, this will include the use of dyes to detect hydrogenation and polymerisation processes.
