Summary on Grant Application Form |
It is proposed to develop a Masters level training module in Facilities Performance Management for mixed mode delivery. The module would draw upon amongst CFM Associate Companies in a best practice focus group and related research work.Delivery of the module will be through learning materials and support available on line to employees of Associate Companies and registered students on the Masters programme in Universities collaborating in Facilities Management research and training. The aim is to have the training module developed, piloted and fully operational on a self-financing basis by the end of the three years of ESRC funding. Key objectives during this period include the development of the technology for on-line learning, development of quality learning materials and setting up effective support mechanisms.EPSRC funding is sought to support development and start-up costs. Industrial partners in the project contribute by steering the project, providing base material and sharing best practice knowledge. Employees of Associate Companies will be involved in pilot studies, before the module is made generally available at full cost.
