Summary on Grant Application Form |
In the Aerospace Community, it is recognised that the enhancement of flight control systems, the provision of optimum performance with minimum pilot workload, can be achieved through integrated controller architectures. In particular, for high performance vehicles, it is essential to consider the integration of flight and engine control which will also lead to higher fuel efficiency. Integration demands elaborate techniques for analysis, design and diagnosis. The proposed research, in collaboration with DERA Bedford, will develop such techniques making use of the Real Time All Vehicle Simulator which will provide a truly interactive environment for design at Leicester.
