Summary on Grant Application Form |
A widely applicable strategy for the formation of new coordination networks will be developed. New synthetic strategies will target coordination polymers with topologies that are inaccessible using current approaches.Coordination polymers which contain junctions with high connectivities (5 and 6-fold junctions) and/or new combinations of junctions will be prepared. Two strategies will be employed (1) a modified building-block approach which uses pre-formed complexes with peripheral donors as ligands and (2) the introduction of new ligand types and geometries.
