Summary on Grant Application Form |
The design and preparation of soluble robust resins that can be precipitated from solution, at will, by the addition of a cosolvent offers distinct advantages in the preparation of structurally diverse biologically active molecules by solid-phase chemistry. In synthesis, the solubility of the resins will allow photo-activated substrate/intermediate/product release and, the potential in rapid synthesis/screening, is a major driver for preparing such supports. Separation from the support, whether in synthetic or resin-bound catalytic systems will be achieved cleanly and easily. It is expected that such chamelion resins will be of interest to industry. PDRA support for 2 years is requested.
