Summary on Grant Application Form
The Proposal is concerned with the establishment of an Engineering Network: UK Drilling and Production. The Network will create an interactive framework for training, research and development programmes for the oil and gas industry and will promote collaboration between academia, industry and government. In the current industry climate there is an urgent need and an opportunity to underpin technological development and research through existing academic PgD and MSc programmes. This work is considerably enhanced through feedback and support from industry. The existing courses and industry links are the basis for the Network.
