Summary on Grant Application Form |
This project will investigate the free surface deformation produced by an impulse on the boundary of a container of fluid. A generic problem in this area has been identified which is of real industrial relevance in several separate fields. Singular perturbation and numerical methods will be used to try to solve the non-linear boundary value problems that describe the fluid flow.
