Summary on Grant Application Form
The modules consider the scientific and institutional framework of air quality management on international, national and local scales. They include aspects of air quality management models, monitoring for compliance and the role of air pollution emission reduction strategies. To effect reductions in emissions, students will study the theory behind techniques for air pollution control and then the design of equipment for the removal of noxious gases and particulates from gas streams. The importance of safety, downstream processing, ancillary equipment, control and instrumentation will be emphasised.
