Summary on Grant Application Form |
The package consists of a series of one week Radiometrics modules which lead to the award of an M.Sc. qualification, but can be taken individually for CPD. The courses involve an important practical component in the well equipped laboratories in Liverpool. The courses are attended by part-time M.Sc. students from industry and many industrial delegates on CPD programmes as well as full time students. The industrial students pay realistic fees that are used to support the whole course. This package is aimed at expanding the use of computer aided learning (CAL) as a delivery method for the taught (lecture) component of the modules which will increase the distance learning content of the modules and result in industrial students having to spend less time in Liverpool. This is very important to industry. A start will be made on the introduction of computer-aided assessment. The package contains provision for support for studentships for four full time students per year.
