|
JMW01 is the fourth in a series of biennial workshops which bring together the whole magnetism community for two days. It aims to achieve its objectives by:1) Ensuring that the full cross-section of the magnetism community is represented by inviting a senior representative from every active magnetism research group in the UK and magnetics based company.2) Including sessions to review the final report of the AMP and the future progress of the community, particularly the development and sustenance of related EPSRC networks to be developed post AMP.3) Providing a technical programme that is balanced between plenary sessions, to bring the community up to date with the current state of magnetism research and technology across its full spectrum and focused discussion sessions, to include detailed discussion about future challenges and potential research directions as well as stimulation of networks within the UK magnetics community.4) To encourage awareness and collaboration, there will also be a poster exhibition at which each research group will be asked to display two posters (i) to summarise the activities and facilities of their group and (ii) to present a piece of technical work.
