Summary on Grant Application Form |
The course will offer a cross-departmental, interdisciplinary training for graduates in the Physical Sciences to pursue a research career in the study of biomolecular systems. The aim will be to provide the students with the training and experience necessary for them to be able to confidently apply their core skills as physical scientists to the study of biological systems and processes at the molecular level. This will be achieved through a structured lecture programme covering the essential elements of modern biomolecular science, training in core biochemical techniques, and personal transferable skills, taken simultaneously with an extended research project. Projects will be jointly developed and supervised by a member of staff from the Chemistry and Biochemistry department.
