|
An important aspect of the TPI initiative has been the annual meetings of the Technological Plasma community, organised and partially supported by EPSRC. There is real concern amongst the community that after the finish of the TPI this year there is no existing forum for this diverse community to meet. At the last TPI community meeting the TPI monitor was asked to organise a series of workshops to continue the connectivity of the programme after TPI finishes and try to secure EPSRC funding to see these meetings through at least to the completion of the TPI funded proposals. At the Autumn 2000 TPI meeting an organising committee will be established, charged with the organisation of these workshops. Funding is therefore requested to support Technological Plasma Workshops in 2001 and 2002.
