In the frame of this project we will develop a family of oscillatory neural networks of three different types of oscillators corresponding to different detailed levels of description of neural activity. We will study dynamical behaviour of the oscillatory neural networks to find constraints and parameter range corresponding to different dynamical regimes and synchronisation modes for the oscillatory neural networks with different connection architectures by combining the bifurcation theory and computer simulations. This approach supports the design of hybrid models where some blocks of the model are the new principles for information memorisation and novelty detection: principle of memory formation by frequency adaptation and principle of novelty detection by resonant amplitude amplification. The implementation of these principles should be done for each type of oscillatory neural networks on the basis of experimental evidence about function of the septo-hippocampal system. We suggest that these new principles may be useful for the development of future generation of computational algorithms and systems for information processing with high performance and efficiency.
