Summary on Grant Application Form
The project is concerned with the development and implementation of an advanced coal combustion sub model for combustion in power station boilers. It will involve the development and devolarisation models including nitrogen partition, flamelet volatile combustion model. This will be validated using experimental data obtained from Combustion Test Facility (CTF) at PowerGen Technology at Ratfcliffe Power Station. The 2-D and 2D versions of the model will be developed and tested against this experimental data.
