Summary on Grant Application Form |
The network is a physical and virtual grouping of academics, industrialists and professional bodies designed to create an interdisciplinary think tank for the future direction of Supply Chain Management primarily focused on the automotive industry. This is designed to encourage the transfer of ideas, experimental techniques, models and technological and scientific insights both within the engineering research community and with the appropriate interfacing science, technology and industrial groups. The proposal is to set up a network primarily focused on the UK but involving non UK organisations where a clear benefit to the network can be identified. The network is designed to undertake a number of innovative activities including:1. an interactive web site,2. a number of half day physical workshops at rotating sites dedicated to exploring research or education opportunities;3. the development of informal networking either via e-mail, video conferencing or physical meetings by network members for the purpose of pursuing more detailed discussions about new research and education opportunities.EngProg\
