Summary on Grant Application Form |
This application is for the establishment of a 'start of the art' single crystal X-ray diffraction facility supported by a CCD X-ray diffractometer. The facility will service research programmes in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biological sciences and be generally available to research groups in all related areas. Thus the use of small molecule crystallography in the elucidation of current problems in biologically active molecules and model compounds will be established, and the use of modern techniques in crystallography will enable substantial progress in the chemical sciences, especially for very air-sensitive and small crystals.
