Summary on Grant Application Form
Organometallic and co-ordination compounds synthesised and studied by ultrafast spectroscopic techniques in the course of the work on the EPSRC grant GR/N11414 titled Early Photochemical Dynamics of Charge Transfer Excited Organometallic Complexes will be taken to the laboratories collaborating with the COST D14/0001/99 Organometallic and Metallorganic Building Blocks for Molecular Photonic Devices and investigated by special techniques available there:(i) photochemical studies - quantum yield measurements, (ii) nanosecond time-resolved spectroscopic (emission, absorption) studies, (iii) resonance Raman measurements, (iv) spectroelectrochemical (UV-Vis, IR, rR, EPR) measurements, (v) special EPR measurements, (iv) theoretical interpretation and prediction of ultrafast photochemical and spectroscopic phenomena. Moreover, some of the collaborating laboratories will supply samples for ultrafast spectroscopic measurements which will be carried out in the UK.
