Summary on Grant Application Form
Describe the proposed research in about 200 words.EPR spectroscopy and related techniques are uniquely suited to studying systems containing unpaired electrons to give information on, for example, geometric and electronic structure and molecular dynamics. This proposal seeks support to continue the successful operation of a National Service for EPF' Spectroscopy, incorporating I(i) multi-frequency (1-34 GHz) continuous wave EPR at The University of Manchester,(ii) high-frequency (90-270 GHz) EPR at The University of St Andrews, and li(iii) 9 and 34 GHz continuous wave ENDOR at The University of CardiffThe Services will support and promote fundamental and applied research m paramagnetic materials and will provide excellent training to postgraduate students, and established academics, in EPR techniques
