Summary on Grant Application Form |
The objective of the project is to establish new classes of cationic complexes bearing weakly coordinating anions. Alkoxides will form the focus of the early work and the study will then be extended to amide and thiolate derivatives. The new cationic systems will be evaluated as catalysts for condensation processes and for the living ring-opening polymerisation of cyclic ester monomers.
