Summary on Grant Application Form |
Polarised electroluminescence from polymeric organic light-emitting diodes has been achieved by having an alignment layer (usually insulating) on the electrode on which the device is to be built or by mechanical rubbing of the EL layer. This proposal aims to study new methods of achieving plymer alignment leading to more efficient LEDs giving polarised emission.
