Summary on Grant Application Form |
The synthesis and reactivity of alkane soluble superelectrophiles , formed from partnerships between cationic metal fragment and peralkylated carborane anion will be investigated. The interaction of these systems with alkanes, weak sigma donors and alkane analogues will be studied, with special attention paid to systems potentially capable of C-H activation.
