Summary on Grant Application Form |
The objective of the research is to develop a method that will allow unstructured meshes to be generated in which the regularity of both the Delaunay triangulation and the Voronoi Diagram is ensured. In addition, the Veronoi vertices must be contained within their associated elements. Such a capability would then provide a means by which algorithms, which rely upon a dual orthogonal mesh, to be implemented on unstructured meshes. Such algorithms are applicable in computational fluid dynamics and computational electromagnetics. In particular, the motivation for the research is in the development of efficient algorithms for electromagnetic scattering on very large meshes.
