Summary on Grant Application Form |
The objective of this research project is to develop and test a conceptual innovative managerial control system (IMCS) that will be able to analyse historical and on line information, establish patterns and advise senior management on future decisions. The applicant intends to introduce systems and technologies that have been used successfully in other industries for controlling process operations using statistical tools integrated with knowledge-base, fuzzy sets and simulation tools. This is a new innovative concept in management that can be applied in a wide range of managerial control decisions in construction and its related industries (building products manufacturing) and should lead to a rapid response to external and internal variables and ultimately lead to highly profitability and wealth creation. The applicant will develop the concept and apply it to the building products manufacturing industries.
