Summary on Grant Application Form |
The present project aims to improve the specification of hydrodynamic conditions around leaky nearshore breakwaters by allowing for both wave reflection and fluid leakage in computer model software. Existing laboratory data will be used to calibrate and validate the improved model software. The improved model will then be used to study the flow patterns around nearshore structures, including both single and group breakwater schemes, and the influence of the group structures on the nearshore hydrodynamics. The model will provide more accurate and extended hydrodynamic information at those situations.
